In a writing job your enviroment can vary on the job. In one case you can be working at you home and the time you want. Then there are some cases were your in an a office working from nine till five. Obviously this can mean the difference between relaxing conditions and stressful ones.

An average week will most likely involve you discussing ideas with bosses and putting them on paper or deliberating then writing a paper on a certain topic. You could also be editing yours or other people works for a final version.

A skill that will help with writing is a good understanding of writing mechanics. The access to a large vocabulary would be helpful too. You should be able to work with some technology, mostly computers. Other then that you just need creativity and good writing skills. If you can solve problems and negotiate that will also take you far.
